Turmeric is one of the most anti-inflammatory food sources on the planet. Curcumin is the compound found in turmeric that reduces inflammation and actually works better than anti-inflammatory medications like NSAIDs. Inflammation is the body's response to stress - physical and emotional. Processed foods and those high in sugar can increase inflammation while whole foods like fruits and vegetables, omega-3 fatty acids, and some herbs and spices can reduce inflammation. Chronic inflammation can lead to chronic diseases like diabetes, cancer, and Alzheimer's, weight gain, hormone imbalances, poor sleep, and more. While it's impossible to completely avoid inflammation, it is best to do what you can to limit it and it's effects. This Anti-Inflammatory Ginger Turmeric Shot does just that. It can be taken in the morning or mid afternoon for a pick me up.
